All about Barb and Jennifer
Barb White Adkins was born in Kimberly, Wisconsin and is the middle child of five sisters. Her parents owned and operated a construction company (alas, no boys in the family!) so it’s safe to say that Barb was raised in a hard-working, entrepreneurial environment all her life. After completing her first undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, Barb earned her second degree in Nursing at George Mason University. She distinguished herself in the medical field by moving quickly from a “floor nurse” to the Assistant Director of the Intensive Care and Progressive Care units at Mt. Vernon Hospital. A tough negotiator and astute businesswoman, Barb provides her clients with a marked advantage over the other party.
Jennifer White was born in Lafayette, Indiana and moved to the East Coast shortly thereafter where she has lived most of her life. She grew up in Northern Virginia and attended the University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. After college, Jennifer moved to the Florida Keys and worked as a Sales Manager for the largest hotel corporation in the United States. She was taught critical skills such as contract negotiation and customer relations. Jennifer earned a reputation as one who is committed to ensuring the best interests of her clients, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure her customers peace of mind and satisfaction.
It was this training that helped Barb and Jennifer’s skills develop their marked skill in the art of listening to their clients, prioritizing with them their needs and commitment to a successful outcome. After each pursued their Real Estate careers with separate companies, they decided to pool their resources together. Barb and Jennifer now work for ReMax Xecutex on their unique mother-daughter team. They specialize in residential real estate and serve sellers and buyers all over Northern Virginia. Barb has obtained designation as an Accredited Buyer Representative, an honor earned by less than 10% of agents nationwide. Both are currently working on their advanced certification in the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI), a year long program. They qualify each year for the Top Producer Club of America, Multi-Million Dollar Club, ReMax Platinum Award and recently became members of the ReMax Hall of Fame. More important to Barb and Jennifer is the joy and satisfaction they derive from helping people in the buying and selling of their homes.
Since 1979, the Northern Virginia area has been home to Barb and Jennifer. While they aren’t working, they enjoy reading, working out at Burke Racquet and Swim Club, and of course, spending time together.
